Label heads Michael & Levan And Stiven Rivic are back. Their follow-up to the first release on Mistique Music (“State Of Liberty”) is called “Connection” and features 5 remixes. Domased Electronica and Dynamic Illusion have featured on previous releases on Mistique Music, but Retroid, Aeron Aether, and Faskil are new artists to the roster.
As usual, when it comes to Michael & Levan And Stiven Rivic’s tracks, a unique and enjoyable atmosphere is one of the main elements. Also a rolling, pumping bassline along with a strong beat dominate the track, and extremely many and various melodies play here and there; heavy pad lines, deep stabs, and thrilling arpeggiator lines, to name a few..
A lively beat along with smooth pad lines are the first things we hear in the remix from Domased Electronica (Ladislav Zajic) from Slovakia. Some of the great additions that we hear in this track are the bright background synth riffs that spice up the track, and they fit the rather uplifting vibe of this remix very well.
Hungarian Retroid (Adam Huszar) delivers a dub mix, which starts off with some rather interesting sound effects. Soon the beat is pumping a great deal of energy into the track, and meanwhile some soothing, sweeping pad lines dominate the overall atmosphere. Many various sound effects come into play again in the break, and they work rather well with the main melody riffs in this remix.
First break remix in this package comes from Hungarian producer Aeron Aether (Gabor Kovacs). A deep mood is established quickly, and all kinds of synths are added in the first few minutes. Brand new chords are introduced as well, and on top of it all a violin makes its appearance later on. The downtempo break is another highlight of this remix.
Paris resident Faskil (Jean-Christophe Detrain) has made a remix with more aggressive synth lines and effects, and the deep stabs go well with the rest of the energetic atmosphere created by the break beat. Big, deep and rough synth lines dominate the break, and more energy-filled elements follow afterwards.
Last track is the “Airwalker” mix from Dynamic Illusion (Daniel Gyarmati). The Hungarian producer made a break beat with driving percussion lines, and many melody layers are added to the mix; for instance the arpeggiator that enhances the energy a notch. A brisk piano line is added in the break while other, new melodic elements build around it.
